Darren Handley Designs was born in sunny Australia on the famed Gold Coast . A unique place where the waves and the conditions make the whole world dream . It was there that Darren acquired his exceptional and recognized know-how in the manufacture of responsive and high- performance surfboards .

Considered one of the best shapers in the world, Darren has made many boards for professional surfers . Among these many achievements we can mention the board of Mick Fanning (triple A SP world champion) as well as that of Stephanie Gilmore , 7 times world champion . A record of 9 victories at the World Surfing Championship, enough to confirm the quality and technicality of the DHD boards .

The manufacture of DHD boards is not only the fruit of the work of a simple shaper. Daren Handley is more than that , he makes his boards with passion . He devoted his life to wanting to pass on to others his experience and his so rare and precious know-how. Even today “at almost 50 years old, I still take the sander and I work in the shaping room , I 'm still in it. I'm always looking to make the perfect surfboard and for that I surround myself with the most skilled workers in the business to create that ultimate race to the perfect board ” - DH.
