Jean Beyl, a ski enthusiast, had to break his legs twice during his mountain vacation to decide in 1947 to create LOOK bindings, the first brand of laminated iron bindings which he called “Anti-fracture”.
In the 1960s LOOK bindings were a hit with international competitions, thanks to their Grand-Prix binding, the first rotating plate binding system, the brand won two gold medals in downhill and giant slalom during the Olympic Games in 1960.
Since 1994, Look has been part of the Nightingale group and offers a wide range of bindings for a whole range of skis, in particular their freestyle and freeride “pivot” bindings which made a comeback after in 2009 after years of absence.
