Behind the "Freak Show" style brand Creature Skateboards is skate expert Darren Navarette, and above all a fan of American comics and horror movies, which you can feel every time you hold a new Creature Skateboard deck in your hands.
However, you have to go back well before the 2000s to find a trace of the founding of the brand with the "flashy green" decks, namely in 1994, when a certain Russ Pope under contract with NHS Inc founded Creature Skateboard. From the beginning, Darren Navarette stood out as a natural leader, with Jason Adams and Barker Barrett to support him in building the pro skateboard team.
After some separations, and a halt of the brand by NHS Factory, Darren came back even more motivated than ever and especially stronger to relaunch this sublime Skateboard Label through well-stocked skate videos like Born Dead, CSFU, and Hesh Law.
With a new team in sight and especially focused on big hammers and endless handrail descents, the brand quickly invested in making skateboard decks with "P2" technology, a clever blend of aramid fiber combined with top-quality Canadian maple to produce high-quality skateboards. More stiffness, longer lifespan, and a lunar pop!
