The skateboard brand Darkroom was created in 2012 by Don Pendleton, already recognized in the world of skateboarding through his many professional experiences.
He spent over 20 years working for some of the world's leading skateboard companies, where he built up a strong image, notably at Alien Workshop for over 8 years. He logically used this advantage to create his own brand, Darkroom. It has been very well received by discerning consumers in this demanding field.
In collaboration with Mike Sinclair and Kevin Furtado, this new venture is driven entirely by Pendleton's creativity. His brand was officially launched in October 2018.
The company mainly sells skateboards, grips, clothing, accessories, etc... A brand that's very diversified in its offering, but still very much focused on the art and authenticity of its products. The Darkroom works are easily recognizable and quite distinct from other skateboard brands.
Darkroom has a real added value that other skateboarders don't have. Don Pendleton 's creativity seems endless. His work is both contemporary and current, brimming with style and color, for products that are always unique and different.
His inspiration comes from the freedom he has in creating his own brand. He's free to do what he wants, to invent the designs he wants when he wants, without being restricted by a superior or a brand that doesn't like the result of his work. His specialty, however, is skatedecks, on which he expresses his creativity to the full. The Darkroom boards are so artistic that many collectors prefer to display them in their living rooms rather than go skateboarding with them! Don Pendleton has designed more than a thousand skateboards, always with the passion and imagination of his early days.
