After launching the ETNIES adventure in the USA in 1986, Frenchman Pierre-André Senizergues conceived the Emerica footwear brand ten years later in 1996. In the late 90s, the company quickly became a cult brand for skateboarding afficionados.

Drawing on all the expertise of the Sole Technology group, headed by Pierre-André from the outset with the Etnies, Es footwear and 32 snowboard brands, the emerica brand offers skateboarders a wide choice of quality skate shoes with maximum comfort and sleek design.

To showcase his new brand, Pierre-André Senizergues designed a top-quality Emerica skate team, headed by Andrew Reynolds. In 1997, the brand released its first feature-length skate film, the "Yellow" video. Then followed several footage nuggets with the videos This Is skateboarding in 2003, Kids in emerica in 2005, Stay Gold in 2010 and more recently Made chapter one in 2013 and Made chapter Two in 2016. These Emerica skateboarding videos were an opportunity to see the entire emerica team at work, with impeccable and creative runs by skateboarders such as Bryan Herman, Collin Provost, Ed Templeton, Jerry Hsu, Leo Romero, Kevin Spanky Long and Justin Figueroa.

The legendary products of the Emerica skate shoe brand are, of course, all Andrew Reynolds' pros shoes. The Atlanta skateboarder and member of the Baker boys has always been a positive critic of the evolution of his skate shoes.

Hawaiisurf has built up a real friendship with Pierre-André Senizergues, as evidenced by his many visits to our Parisian skate shop, so we've always supported independent skate shoe brands.
