Lafuma

Lafuma was created in 1930 by the 3 Lafuma brothers. In its early days, the brand had only a modest workshop in the Drome region of France. Its first invention revolutionized the backpack with a metal frame. It accompanied the French on their first paid vacations and leisure activities. It anchored Lafuma in the hearts of the French, but also in those of adventurers the world over. The first exploit to be achieved thanks to a Lafuma invention was Sherpa Tensing's first ascent of Mount Everest with the famous "Tyrolean" backpack in 1953.
