On a quad roller, the plate (the metal piece attached under the shoe) has two trucks that hold the wheels. The kingpin screw is the screw that:
- passes through the central axis of the truck (kingpin)
- keeps the cushions compressed
- allows you to adjust the rigidity of the truck pivot
