Nitro was founded in Seattle in 1989 by Tommy Delago and Sepp Ardelt. These two snowboarding enthusiasts run their brand like a small business, with all the advantages that entails: quality products, made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, loyalty with suppliers and partners, and so on. They offer boards, bindings and boots for freeride and freestyle snowboarding, each with performance and technical features.
As far as fixed boards are concerned, the higher up the range you go, the more technological improvements you'll benefit from, such as an aluminum baseplate to give the board responsiveness and instantly imprint your movements on it, a mini-disc that lets you exploit the board without altering its capabilities, or double cables on the toothed rods for longer-lasting equipment. Different models are available to suit your budget and needs, with the Zero as the entry-level model, followed by the Team and finally the Phantom.
